Real ESL Video Lesson 5 – The Simple Present
Hi everyone,
You might think that you speak English too well to worry about the most basic verb tense, the simple present. However, I have students who are intermediate level speakers and still make mistakes with the simple present. Hope you like the video lesson!
To review, let’s put “run” into the simple present:
I run
He runs
She runs
It runs
They run
You run
We run
Add an s at the end of simple present verbs with he, she and it. Do not add an s at the end of simple present verbs with they or we. When there is more than one person or thing, so you add an s to the subject (dogs), you might think you need an s at the end of the verb, but you do not. (Dogs run.)
